Improvement of Stability in an Oscillating Water Column Wave Energy Using an Adaptive Intelligent Controller

Presently, among the global ocean energy technologies, most conventional one is wave power generation device based on oscillating water column (OWC) converter. Given fluctuation and randomness of waves complexity current grid, dynamic response grid connections must be considered. Furthermore, considering characteristics converter, this paper proposed an adaptive intelligent controller (AIC) for permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) in OWC. The includes a grey predictor, recurrent wavelet-based Elman neural network (RWENN), critical (ACN) to improve stability OWC generation. This scheme can increase maximum output performance when transient occurs under operating conditions random changes. AIC PMSG has faster speed, smaller overshoot, better than traditional PI controller. further verifies availability control strategy.
